Also, if the punishment for self help eviction isn’t jail time, but instead a civil fine, why wouldn’t you? Some landlords in your favorite blue areas were locked out of rents for months and months and months. It’s not breaking the law when the punishment is clearly defined and acceptable.. It’s a choice. Has nothing to do with morals. I follow the rules when we are operating in a civil environment when they benefit me. However, for example, during the scamDemic when people were locked out of their rents, we were no longer operating in a civil environment.
