I don't argue, I don't fuss. I just let them get their "ESA." THEN Automatic rent increases every legal chance I get. The last folks I had were not too bad . . . when all was said and done, the ESAs are pets. I just made sure it was the right breed and had the tenant do a DNA test. I sent a copy of the results to my insurance folks. I could have gone all HIPPA on the tenant and ask for documentation from their Med Care professionals, and I didn't. But in general, the folks were plenty decent tenants and pet owners. I did get lucky. I prefer to rent to folks who don't have pets.
