So usually in Western Ma the fall foliage season is pretty spectacular,....usually.

So if you are in a part of the country that has fall colors, you know that some years are better than others.

One year I was telling people where I work how great the colors were that year. They told me "are you kidding? This year it's not good at all". I sure didn't agree I thought it was a great year. I found that we had a number of very sunny days and so I was wearing Polaroid glasses a lot that were light brown. At some point I took them off and looked around and it was true,... it was a bad year.

Those glasses make all the colors pop out to look incredible. It has to be Polaroid and it has to be that color. You can get them cheaply at Walmart in their fishing area.

So a friend of mine was worried that some relatives were coming from overseas to enjoy our fall foliage that they heard so much about. But again it was a bad year, not up to usual standards, so I told her about getting the glasses which they did for all of their relatives. That friend and her relatives were blown away by our fall colors that year. The Reds look more redder, the yellows looked more yellow, the grass looked very green, the sky looked more blue, and the clouds were more defined.

So if you like fall colors or know someone who does,.. I suggest that you get those glasses, and if nothing else at the end of it you will have some polarized sunglasses. I like polarized glasses as they greatly reduce glare. That's why the fishermen like them so they can see better into the water as it takes off the surface glare. Hope you will trust me and give it a try.

Even in a good color year it makes it even more spectacular. Now the glasses are pretty cheap and they can scratch easily so just be careful of that.

Grands and I made our own fall colors yesterday. Handprints in yellow, red, orange and brown. Use a marker to draw the stem structures. And, of course, those leaves are palmate! Oh, I kill me!

Still Learning, if you are anywhere near Garden of Gods, I highly recommend taking the horse ride through the park. Well, if that is still available. Been many years since we did that, but it was magical.

Yes Wilma I agree,..big puffy clouds look better too,..more defined.

t walmart has some

from under 5.00 to about 11.00 (probably some at more $ but I just did a quick look) the more expensive ,..prob do not scratch as easily,..the cheap ones do so you need to take extra care with those.

I'm not sure, but maybe they might bring out the color of an alligator......if you want maybe I can send you a box of Ma leaves. I see where some Vt and NH are closing some roads to stop the long lines of leaf peppers.
