I have a softener and well pump that get bad condensation in summer. It runs down to the floor and then to a drain. Outside of a dehumidifier what ideas do you have? I thought about insulating but that will trap moisture and cause mold.

If you don't feel like spending a couple $100 a year on dehumidifier ,energy cost, good ventilation in the hot humid summers helps, as hopfully the moisture may dry faster than an unvenrilated area --71.207.xx.xx

Pipe insulation around all the pipes where most building supply stores carry pipe insulation. The basement may require solid board insulation where that will always reduce humidity. Installing a sump pump will also reduce humidity in basement. --74.220.xxx.xxx

It is the softner and the expansion tank that leak the most. Insulating the pipes will help and good point about circulation. I might try a little fan on it.

I agree insulated right will eliminate issue but I have to keep on eye on it and watch for mold.
