My understanding is that there is a military phrase:
"Slow is smooth and smooth is fast."
Would you care to clarify this, please.
Thank you for your time.

Take your time and do it right.
Another interpretation is - you can do something fast or you can do it right, but you can't do it fast and right. --108.201.xx.xx |

Yes, basically a "one and done" type of an expression. The military doesn't like to repeat assignments for tactical reasons. --172.56.xxx.xx |

I have never heard of that expression personally, but what I have told my sailors hundreds of times:
Right place, right time, right uniform, doing it right.
Where did you hear that expression 6er?
I love learning the history of common expressions. "Son of a Gun", "whole 9 Yards" and "Been Shanghaied" all military backgrounds --24.101.xxx.xxx |

Ray, I was watching a video on Jeff Bezos and he mentioned that he loved this military expression. I don't know where he got it from. --73.190.xxx.xxx |
