Life is so full of headaches and disappointments that it is really difficult sometimes to remember which way is up. The clouds get darker and the lightning begins to strike. Winds of change keep blowing your direction and tossing you around. You lose site of the street signs pointing you in the right direction. I believe this applies to everyone in life's journey and it doesn't really matter, the color of your skin, the country you came from, the environment you grew up in, or what your career path. Just remember that when are in the middle of the storm, after the storm comes the sun.

Stay focused.

6x6 great words of wisdom. I’m hoping all these posts are things convention reminded you of, but I think you may have recently gotten rid of a difficult situation and were getting ready for showings. If that is the case, follow your advice and hopefully things are easier soon! Landlording is a great business with things moving along great until all of a sudden it’s a difficult time to make your way through. --75.67.xxx.xxx

Yes, work hard every day to remind yourself of the motivation for you & what you do.

Keep the big picture in your head - your purpose and goal in life.

Yes! And renter's too. If they recognize an opportunity they can move ahead. Same for you and me. If we don't recognize opportunity then we don't learn and grow. Always flip a bad situation and don't let your mind set in on only one outcome, there are many forks in the road, all leading to a different outcome. --172.59.xxx.x

I am not caught up on all the posts but the few I have read that you started sure do make me hope that you are just pondering and not going through a big crisis.

Hit a bumpy patch myself just recently. Four empty places, two required eviction, one other will require small claims for damages and all four will need a lot done to them.

Was getting worried when I had the three empty, then found out I had a runner so a fourth opened up. Then it dawned on me that it isn't so bad having a 17% vacancy rate right now.

Two of the deadbeats were on my list to remove this year, one was my daughter that bought a house and the last one is a drunk that goes on benders for months at a time.

Looking forward to some of the upgrades that I will do. Less now that I have so many open, but one place already done before I went to the convention (Too bad you missed it). Filed on the ghost guy yesterday.

I will bring rents up a bit, might sell one of the places after I rehab it but I am not letting it get me down.

So far. --107.147.xx.xxx
