6x6: I wouldn't worry about it much. I read that post and it was normal and written well. Meanwhile, half of myob's posts are poorly written sentences without any punctuation that you sometimes have to read a few times to figure out what he's saying.

In other words, if anyone is going to comment on someone else's written word here, it certainly shouldn't be myob!

Don't stress about his comment. It was out of place and didn't make sense.

Like John said, I wouldn't worry too much.

I actually cringe sometimes when you post about yourself not knowing too much.

6x6, I swear - you are a very intelligent man! You have figured out a lot of smart things, how to invest & better yourself WITHOUT being raised & taught that when you were young. You had that knowledge somewhere inside you & figured out how to draw it out & do well for yourself.

Please don't put yourself down or belittle your successes - you are very smart. And don't listen to others who may say it.

There is a difference between being smart (able to learn & figure stuff out) vs educated (someone has - or tried to - teach you things).

6x I was just inquiring because you write well and your one of the few I respond to directly. Nothing was meant to be derogatory in my question.

My jugular was missed by John and DJ although a deep cut was attempted.

I'm sorry I only went to 3rd grade and my spelling and punctuation is lacking. I've admitted that on many posts. Some have said "I only offer criticism" well if you keep making the same bonehead mistakes John and DJ yea that is what you get. Oh I see it showed be sugar coated?

Look folks I have nothing to sell you so I don't have to watch my P's and Q's. Sorry if you see it as always criticism.

Anyway I want to thank you both and of course apologize if 6 thought there was anything sinister in my question.

I do try to read people and their education level-- for example DJ and John are always quick to degrade anyone seen as, well let me just stop there.

There was no call for that attack......... (those dots represents what i would have really like to say)

Well, perhaps I should have worded my post and question to myob a little differently. I didn't mean to give the wrong impression.

I would first like to note that I like myob and think he is funny sometimes.

I do appreciate the support from others and the encouraging words.

I didn't take offense at all to the question that was asked. In fact, I thought that it was very perceptive. I didn't want to answer until I found out why the question was asked.

I also thank you, myob, for responding to my post directly and for what you do to help us on this forum. Please don't stop. I think you have helped plenty of people.

Now, to answer your question, myob.

The answer is mostly no. The reason that I say that is because I am from TN and have no college education. When I write on this forum I tend to try and be more accurate in my words and how I write a sentence even though I don't really have a clue. Autocorrect helps a lot as well as reading on this forum for a few years. I learn a lot of things from this forum beyond just RE. I have tried to pick up on how a lot of you write or say things. Truth is, people from the north tend to speak a little more proper English then the people from where I am. Sometimes I Google the big words that some of you say. Sometimes, even after Googling, I still don't have a clue. If you were to ever meet me in person and have a conversation I bet that you would tell that I am from TN and have not gotten a college degree. However, I think that most people like me and I can get along with most people even if I try and keep to myself. That said, I have improved in how I talk in general the more that I read things or talk to other people who do speak a little more proper.

I apologize if I took what you asked of 6x6 incorrectly. I thought he was taking offense and I was defending him. Again, I only mentioned your posts because I thought you were criticizing him. It is rare that someone goes "Do you speak like you write here??" and mean it as a compliment.

As I said, your posts are sometimes hard to figure out your attitude/intent -- and this was one of them. But, again, I apologize for misinterpreting it.

As for your remark about how I am "always quick to degrade anyone seen as...", I don't know what you mean. I do not try to degrade anyone here. If I think someone is incorrect or giving bad advice, I try to correct that. If someone is posting links to clearly biased "news" articles, I often try to actually find the source material and give a less biased opinion. But I've never tried to "degrade" anyone here.

myob, let me be a little more specific. I do not talk with a hillbilly slang or anything in general. I would say that I talk normal but that you would notice a southern accent.

I apologize for any confusion that I may have created by the way that I phrased my post or question.
