My current tenant has been in residence 3 and a half yrs. The rent has been paid promptly. I own some adjoining land half farmland, half wooded. He wanted the house and some acres.

Tenant has frquent reserve army weekend camps; scheduled but this is new here NC, and I wonder what are the particular concerns of such a lease addendum?

My 80th birthday approaches in May and I'm a bit over the hill to absorb slings and arrows and have about concluded to give a notice very soon. I can't say how much longer in the same location I will be. This man, a tough customer, from the outset has acted liberally to his own preferences lease or no lease; pit bull, bringing storage blds, not welcoming inspections absence.

What will become of the forestalling of vacating with the reserve training? --24.199.xxx.xxx

Military or not, those are clear lease violations that require a swift, clear, and firm response.

It sounds like these violations have been going on for a while and you are scared / don't know how to deal with him.

Please hire the most successful eviction lawyer you can find in your area & let them do their thing.

To find one, you can go sit in on eviction court & get a business card from the lawyer there representing landlords & winning.

The military clause deals with someone who gets orders to a new location. It says you must let them out of a lease without penalty when this happens. They still need to give proper notice & abide by all other parts of the contract. --68.229.xxx.xxx

Let the person know that you feel military folks are trainable. That they need to accept and follow what is being trained or start practicing tertius skills in U-Haul. --24.101.xxx.xxx
