I really like Zillow for marketing my properties, I was wondering what everyone thought about their applications and credit reports.

The information they provide isn't bad, but I ask for more info on my app than they do. So applicants would have to fill mine out anyway.
I say "would", because in my experience the people who pay the app fee have been, without exception, people I wouldn't rent to. There's a reason they don't want to pay multiple app fees! --104.230.xxx.xxx |

I'd rather do my own. Getting more indepth information this way. I have avoided using Zillow for credit information. I'll review it if it comes to me but still have to go thru my process. And pay the cost. --172.58.xx.xx |

I don't accept Zillow apps because I know they miss information. I was provided a Zillow app by a prospective tenant that looked ok/met guidelines and required that tenant to also fill out my application to run a credit and background check. That person had an extensive criminal/drug record that didn't show up on Zillow results but did show up on the background check I ran. This was last summer. I didn't trust Zillow cr/background before but this solidified my thoughts about Zillow not being accurate. If they look good on a zillow app, take your full application from them anyway and do the regular checks/reports. JME --73.205.xxx.xx |
