Thanks for mentioning Tape a Call.

That led me to look at some websites that discuss various apps that do call recording, I had no idea there was so much to choose from.

And yes, I am working on reducing direct contact. I do see the value in using only text and email.

I also have no problem notifying every call it is being recorded so I don't need to deal with issue of which state.

What I would like to know after reading about these type of apps is whether Tape a Call has a call recording notification feature so I won't need to mention it myself??

Lastly, does the app still require you to call in to another number to enable the recording each time??

Thank you.

Found this: Does TapeACall notify the other person?

From what I see in reviews, No.

It does have a beep option that can be activated during the conversation as a reminder its being recorded.

From TapeACall website: How does this app record calls? When you're on a call and you want to record it, open TapeACall and press the record button. We will put your call on hold and dial our recording line. As soon as our line answers tap the merge button on your screen to create a 3 way call between your other caller and our recording line. If you want to record an outgoing call, just press the record button. The app will dial our recording line and will begin recording as soon as our line answers. Once that happens, tap the add call button on your screen, call the person you want to record, then press the merge button when they answer. --12.88.xxx.xxx

PS

“Notify” is not sufficient. The other parties must AGREE.

I agree that you need to stop the verbals. Get a google voice account, send the number to your tenants and tell them to text. If they call, let it go to voicemail and read the transcript and respond back in text. Get completely off of voice calls and this problem resolves itself.

While the other party must agree to being recorded, it is legal in the notification to inform them that if they do not agree then hang up now. That technique has been tested in court in a few states. --209.205.xxx.xx
