I think I’m ready to switch from post office to clear now. I have a few questions. I am currently sitting at an airport about to head out of town. I usually do lease signings in person and just approved an app. I can take care of the lease signing while gone but am debating how to collect the security deposit. I could probably send the person to my bank since it’s small, take venmo and just add the 1.9% fee out of my operating account to make the security deposit the correct amount, ask my daughter or sister to meet the person or check the PO Box. Can I collect security deposits through clearnow or is everything scheduled ahead of time? Any thoughts or suggestions would be great.

I have a bank account just for these type things, security deposits, holding fees, rent paid outside of Clearnow.
I use Wells Fargo because they have branches everyone around me. I just give them the account number, have the text me a copy of the deposit receipt and can verify it has been made on the Wells Fargo app. They can also pay me using Zelle to that same account. i have a small regional bank that doesn’t have Zelle. I have given tenants the routing numbers but only 4 have managed to get their banks to deposit direct into that deposit account. Most banks print and mail the check. I hate to start banking with another bank just to use Zelle but something needs to change with my process as I am traveling quite a bit this spring. --107.115.xx.xx |

Ask your tenants where they bank then open an account at that bank for them to deposit,i have my tenants write there name and address on the receipt and text me a picture.In my case i have accounts at several banks so i have easy access to notaries when i need one --74.77.xx.xx |

I use clear now and but use it strictly for the reoccurring deposits. Hope that helps.

I have USBank which has no brick buildings anyplace near me, but does have Zelle but mainly have it because it interfaces directly with Quickbooks. But I have no problem with a payment going into Big bank and then transferring it to my little (no zelle) bank. Just choose your Zelle bank and use transfers to move the money to your local bank. --64.184.xx.xx |
