has anyone had trouble with getting the policy or getting a fair settlement on a rental home fire. do i need to bring an insurance settlement consultant to consult with state farm

My understanding is that you should almost always bring in your own adjuster if it is a total loss (unless you know value really well -- then you can see what they suggest and determine yourself if that is reasonable). And especially your own contractor to give a quote if it is going to be repaired (or take their estimate to a contractor and see if they agree they can do it for that or if they think something is missing).

That being said, I've never had to deal with it. That's just what I've heard as the way to do it if it ever happens. --67.209.xxx.xx
