if you are in NC and want all the property addresses to find absentee owners, SFH in your town, duplexes in your town, or whatever other criteria you might have to create a list of send out mailers or letters you can:

Download GIS data

nconemap.gov/pages/parcels

Scroll down to the map of NC and click on your county and it downloads a Zip file

Open the zip file and copy nc_YOUR COUNTY_parcels_poly.dbf to desktop and open with excel.

Sort by town

Sort by PARUSEDESC which gives you land, vacant, single family, duplex, multi, government, mobile home, farm deferred, etc

Sort by PARVAL (tax value) and target all the properties less than X dollars

There is STRUCTYEAR. You could search for houses built between 1960-1990

Just an idea if you are interested in mailing stuff to your local people.
