Yes...a good handyman at a good price is worth their weight in gold.
Hard to find.
Harder to keep.
Plenty that are incompetent. Some lazy. A few crooked.

My best handymen was an ex-Navy plumber / carpenter and and a retired Air Force guy who specialized in HVAC and electrical repairs - sober, not meth heads or boozers. Typical handymen in Socal in my price range have or had a relationship with weed, meth and booze . . . You will find these workers in tent cities or under bridges . . . Remember, they will want booze and smokes, but not til the job is done! --174.65.x.xxx |
