I showed a profit one year by accident.
Sold a house and then long term tenants decided to buy their house.
Kind of screwed me tax wise, although I was happy for them.

Why is that such good news? Have you been cheating on paying your taxes?
What happened to the oft-repeated attitude of so many that people who aren't doing anything wrong don't have anything to worry about? People seem to have no problem saying it when it comes to cops -- but then forget that attitude when it comes to IRS agents?

When I first started out in RE I was audited 3 yrs in a row-- here in ATL at a training facility. Only had 1 rental or 3 by the 3rd yr.
I learned more about the irs then-- in those 3 yrs.
NO one should cheat on taxes. When we see profit coming we pay our workers more- we pay our subs more than the actual bill and we buy more from lowes and h-depot. --108.239.xx.xx |

you should definitely be worried about 87,000 revenuers crawling up our okoles. you can be 100% right or even have a few bucks coming back but the costs of an audit are coming from YOUR HIDE. my new tax guy regularly corrects them but it costs me to do that. a couple of times i just sent them the $1-2,000 they demanded because it was the path of least resistance but not any more. my new tax guy likes to parry with them so i let him --75.80.xx.xx |
