DIY Logo (by DJ [VA]) Posted on: Oct 4, 2022 11:55 AM

I have a DIY business logo from Many years ago that I made on Word.

I like the "basic concept"of it, but it looks like an ameteur made it on Word.

I have a graphic artist in the family, but he hasn't "gotten around to it" in over a month/6 weeks.

Started on fiverr, but it was unclear what I would be getting, how / if I could communicate what I wanted with the artist. I can't figure out fiverr, that "everybody" says is "easy", so that tells you how tech savvy I am -LOL

I don't feel my little business is worth spending a lot of money for a true pro to totally design a new logo - and I pretty much know what I want already.

I've looked at a free logo-maker or two online, but they just have templates that don't match my concept - or at least I can't figure out how to do it.

I've discontinued the phone number that is in the old logo, so I really need to get an updated one for magnetic truck signs, in addition to other uses like document headers, website, etc, and clothing items

Any suggestions?

Maybe someone you have hired to do yours?

Thanks in advance.

I used fivrr to create some logos. Cost less than $100 and was given the files in different sizes and formats.

If you need signs and stuff just get your local sign shop to design the logo and make signs, business cards, magnets, etc.

on fivvr you would search for logo designer, sort by price and find the cheapest one who's work you like. their price will say how many revisions are covered and what file formats they will provide you. if you are looking for a logo for web it needs to be scalable. letterhead or business card different so you need to understand what kind of file you want.

I took a few jpegs from the web, decontrusted them, merged various pieces in paintbrush, and had something simple.

Is there a local college or junior college that has an art department? A student would be happy to draw that up for you for a small fee.
