I complained awhile back about electric plugs out and couldn't figure out the problem. My electrician was here yesterday and he took one look at the kitchen, walked over to the breadbox on the counter, opened it up, and pushed the GFI that was in the back of it.
Appliance garage, and he says he recently failed an inspection because he didn't put a GFI inside the appliance garage, and that's how he knew there was one in there.
So, if you have an appliance garage in a kitchen, be aware that there is a GFI inside there.

This should serve as an example to use GFCI in -Every Location- required rather than have some outlets daisy chained off of one GFCI. --76.190.xxx.xxx |

That is actually a good outcome, considering it could have been something more expensive.

[[[[......How much did you have to pay for that? .....]]]]
Nothing this time because he was here doing a bid to rewiring a shop.
It cost me a couple hundred dollars to have him tighten a ground wire at a rental, which I was delighted to pay because he left the job he was on and made a 20 mile special trip to see why my tenant was complaining that the breaker box was sparking.
It is so hard to get any workers that I've reached the point that I no longer care what it costs, if they will just show up and work. This electrician shows up on time and does good work, so whatever he wants, I will pay him without complaint and I just hope he will continue to work for me. --76.178.xxx.xxx |

Adding: this electrician is booked solid for several months out. He won't get to the rewiring job until mid-winter, or maybe later, and I will just wait until he can fit me in.
(I was at a different contractor's and their stone masons are booked solid for THREE YEARS!!!!) --76.178.xxx.xxx |
