Make your best guess- How many zillow inquiries did I get this weekend?
I posted my best C apt Friday 2pmish, a 2 Br at 995 which is in the same range as 2 others that are just as nice/ nicer and over a hundred or more cheaper than several other apts that are not as nice. I set it as available for 10/15. The current tenant is out but pays thru 11/30. I just want to re-rent it before winter. I usually don't advertise at the end of a month because of all the desperate people that pop up but I did anyway. I also did the listing thru my paid zillow account because it was one click to turn it on. So how much action would you think my listing got?

Don't know your market. Here, we have a significant housing shortage going so I would have had close to 100 in 48 hours from Zillow and close to 300 from Facebook Marketplace.
If there are lots of units available that you are competing against I would bet it's closer to 15 at this point in the month. They probably won't start looking until closer to mid-month. --209.205.xxx.xx |

I'm not sure how to process this information but there were only 7 inquiries on zillow, 1 from rentpath, zero from zumper, apt.com. Not sure what that says about my market. Of the 7, 3 completed a rental inquiry form, one didn't make enough money, one will get a showing but isn't sharing roommate details, and one applied to an apt in the past and needed a guarantor but didn't complete the process- so not impressive options. I changed the move in date to 11/1. So often people inquire and do not look at the date, I didn't think it mattered. There are six 2 br apts out of 13 rentals in my area on zillow. --24.194.xxx.xx |

DJ, I'm in a stressed urban municipality of 18k surrounded by rural ag and well off suburban and other smaller depressed towns in the mohawk valley. Distribution warehouses have become the major employers. I went cheaper for two reasons. A) I don't want to go in winter w/ a vacancy B) better off prospects have more options so they might view my place as a good value. It is in a nice area. --24.194.xxx.xx |

An apartment manager in North Berkeley solely uses craigslist to advertise.
When you were scammed, did the pictures have a watermark across each one? I've reported several scams in the area directly to the owners when I can find them.

I'm encountering the same thing. Zumper has been an absolute bust. Zillow has been better but is generating nowhere near the inquiries that I think it should be. Tenant quality is bad. I'm thinking about cutting the rent to generate more inquiries or running the $99 special. --209.122.xx.xxx |
