Yes, even in the middle of a tropical storm we had a perfect move-out. Only issue was they left an old dresser out with the trash, which town will not pick up unless it's a bulk day, which it is not anytime soon I don't think. So we will have to haul that ourselves after the storm. No biggie. Free dump & a trailer.
Place is spotless. Not even any broken blinds.
New guy moves in today. Yes, in the middle of the storm but what can you do?
Bad news was tenant broke lease to leave beach for "dream job." BUT gave us plenty of notice and new lease was signed/deposit paid last month sometime. No loss of rent. --50.82.xxx.xxx |

My latest ex-tenant moved out Tuesday, but didn't leave the keys because a package was coming in Wednesday afternoon. Had carpets cleaned Wednesday morning. Ex left keys Wednesday early afternoon. Got new guy in there Wednesday around 5pm. Rent and deposit in hand.
Except for the loss of rent from the ex and giving new guy a small break on deposit to clean I am happy enough with the situation.
Baby steps to get up to the Turnover Queen's level I know, but at least it is in the right direction.

I envy you. Just got my downstairs apt rented when upstairs broke the lease due to a break up with technically less than 30 days notice. Everything was spotless only a few dings when they were moving furniture in.
BuT he turned OFF the utilities rather than transfer them! Just updated my exit form to say DO NOT turn off gas and electric!
Downside: takes almost 2 mos to fill a vacancy with a decent tenant here. And we're headed for winter. --72.231.xxx.xx |
