Although I have to say, every pit bull I've met has been a sweet dog. But I still don't allow them in the rentals. --158.115.xxx.xxx |

Actually, I recently had a truly sweet pitfall come to a showing with her owner. She was well-behaved, and obeyed basic command. Nothing but tail-wagging friendliness.
The human, however, did not apply (yet) and I'm sure would not qualify. : p
But, yeah - you're probably right. Another person would probably say "my sweet lab" or whatever breed. If they avoid stating the breed, it's probably a pitbull. --68.229.xxx.xxx |

It's funny how a fair chunk of renters know that pitbulls limit their choices in housing and so what kind of dog do they tend to get? Well of course we are going to stick it to the man by getting a pitbull. I used to use reverse psychology on my kids when they were little, maybe we should start telling people we don't accept beagles.

Sweet dog. He/she will just kiss you to death. Lab mix. Staffie. All has been tried around here.
I have a close family friend with a pit bull I have interacted with a lot. They may be sweet, but they are different. I found her affectionate then played with her a bit and she got rough fast. She also tried to force her way into my chicken yard and my house and I had to battle her. Told my friend to never bring her back. --216.23.xxx.xx |

All pitbull owners call their dog "sweet", but so do the owners of other breeds.
In all my years as a landlord and the years I worked as a an animal control officer I have only meet one pitbull that was absolutely wonderful and I wished I could own her myself. But technically, she was a purebred British Staffordshire terrier. So, a "pitbull" but not at all what you are generally going to run into that is a pitbull.
Other than that, they run about 50/50 between dogs that are OK and dogs that looked and acted like they had the potential to be dangerous. Nearly 100% of their owners had not done any training nor had any control over their pitbull and their dogs had no manners. --76.178.xxx.xxx |

Pit bull owners immediately defend their dogs temperament. And to the extreme. Trying to convince others of how loving they are. No other breed owner does that. Just an observation fromm this last round of pet owners. --172.56.xx.xxx |

I have to laugh. My lab mix is a sweet dog, and not a bit of pittie in him.
Scooter looks like he is mostly lab… but definitely is a mix! He does a great job of screening prospects lately. --149.76.xxx.xx |

all pits have the "boing" gene...sooner or later they will become some sort of problem and since the landlord is the one with the money they will get dragged in to the lawsuit. accept at your own risk.
my best dog ever was a full lab and when people asked if he bit i let them know "yes, but only if you are a cheese covered cat or a pork chop". --75.80.xx.xx |
