You mentioned the bull dog and it reminded me of something. When I was delivering doors and windows to a guy in the smokey mountains, I went to knock on his door and the door was wide open. I knocked on the door frame and then I heard a dog barking and running aggressively up the stairs. I thought, OH S$%# but decided to just stand there and wait for the dog. It was an English Bull Dog. OK, this guy is a time bomb and he is going to do something bad but not to you. I would NOT do the shock collar thing because it's not obvious and someone could just shoot the loose dog walking around not realizing there is a shock collar.
