Do you report tenants' rental payments to the credit bureaus? Do you think it encourages tenants to pay on time if it helps their credit all along and hurts it with every late payment? Or is it not helpful if you have to get them out and they don't pay you because it won't do any more damage than currently? If you do, how do you report it each month?

I would be interested in reporting payment... most of our payment come from ACH... so I know when payments are being made cause I control. I would spend the time to report things, if I knew how.

It's better to ask this question before they become tenants. My application asks if they would like their rent payments reported to the Credit Bureaus to potentially help improve their credit scores. A "yes" tells me they plan to pay rent on time. --107.141.xx.xxx |
