If it's going straight to voicemail:
1. Toggle all devices
The first thing you should do is toggle on the devices where you want to receive calls. Some users stated that the in-browser desktop version of Google Voice was causing the problem with incoming calls. Re-establishing Google Voice in the client of your choice is a good idea but you also need to ensure that you’ll receive calls there.
So, you can try enabling Google Voice on certain devices and, also ensure that the call forwarding for your number is set to ring on other devices. You can do that in Settings > Calls > My devices, ensure that your device is toggled on. In addition, open Settings > Phones > Your phone number > Edit > Advanced Settings > Forward options and enable the Ring on other phones option.
2. Disable DND
The next thing you should do, as suggested by some users is to disable the DND on your Android. Although Do Not Disturb settings might differ a bit on different Android skins, the fundamentals are the same. If you have this mode on, your phone won’t ring and, in the case of the Google Voice service, incoming calls will go straight to voicemail.
3. Reinstall the Google Voice app
Some users claim that the problems stopped the moment they reinstalled the app. Once the app is installed anew, with all permissions granted and configured with your numbers, the issues stop. It helped others so why not you?
4. Log out from all devices
The next thing you can try is logging out from all devices where you tend to use Google Voice. Be that your Android or a web browser on your computer, make sure to log out and then log in again with your credentials.
5. Use Chrome for Google Voice on the Web
Finally, you can try using Google Voice on the Web if the app isn’t working. Just access Google Voice with Chrome on your Android. Just make sure to enable the Desktop site mode.
