Hi,

I'm in the middle of the lawsuit from a fat grandma who tripped and felt in the kitchen and blamed the apartment floor. I'm trying to find the way to prevent this lawsuit in the future. Does Renter Insurance cover the medical bills of tenants if they get injured in the apartment? Any other ideas are welcome. Thanks.

Unless the floor was defective that would be the tenants responsibility but insurance companies like to settle then raise your rates. I have heard a tenant slipped on a wet floor that she caused, sued for damages and won.

There is minimal medical coverage with most renters policies. I think the one I pick up for the residents has only $5,000 --24.101.xxx.xxx
