Between flips, rentals, and rent to own, we have several electric bills in our companies names for various reasons. We pass most on to the residents with surcharges for keeping their accounts current.

I didn't recognize one of the addresses and asked Pookie if we owned it... She rolled her eyes and said, yeah for about a year now.

Oh yeah, I like that one. Big 2 story with a cool upstairs and detached garage.

Maybe it's time to sell a few. I can't remember all of them off the top of my head like I use too.

Hello, I'm LeePookie and I have a house buying addiction.

Does anyone here "forget" that they own a place?

I always try to get my tenants to put the utility bills in their name so I'm not responsible for payment.

I refer to our places by their street NUMBERS and he uses street NAMES so sometimes we both have to stop and think what place the other one is referring to. Trouble is, we have houses that are on identical street names in different towns, and we have houses with identical street numbers in different towns LOL! So I add qualifiers:

104K For a house that is #104 on a street beginning with K.

105L for a house is #105 on a street beginning with L.

Luckily, we have yet to buy the same house number on a matching street name somewhere.

Uggh ... I am with you LeePookie haha. I have dreamt that I have forgotten a place and I either forget that it's vacant or that there was a tenant there and they just aren't paying and I just "don't remember" LOL. Last week when I was mowing some of the properties I went from the East side to the West side of town.

While at the West heading out of town (planned to anyway) I all of a sudden realized that I forgot one that we picked up late last year/ early this year! I was like "oh man ... I have to go back to the East side now"

I too occasionally have the dream of a house I forgot I owned. The dreamo is weirdly specific in identifying the part of town its located. If I ever see a house like that I will freak.

I've mixed up the numbers on several street addresses before. Haven't forgotten yet that we own one, but I don't think about most of them individually very often.

My recurring bad dream is the city tearing down a block where I own a few homes in that dream.

(They DID tear down one while I was waiting out the claim period on a tax sale!)

I don’t want every house…just the ones next to mine!

I slept better once we made a master checklist of every prop and review each prop’s status each week. PAID, LATE, VACANT, WATCH.

My helper gets a $10 spiff (bonus) to turn off ALL utils immediately when the lease comes back to the office. Money well spent!

Busy, I still dream of missing class and it was the day of a big test. That is the one other dream I've had quite a few times even though I've been out of college for over 40 years.

Two years ago, while reviewing the monthly deposits, I noted a large unrecognized one. It was for a house I forgot we had purchased.
