State Farm has partnered with transgender advocacy group to indoctrinate 5-year-olds, group says

Chris Pandolfo 5-6 minutes

State Farm, the insurance company that advertises itself as a "good neighbor," has asked hundreds of its employees to donate books promoting LGBTQ+ themes to children as young as 5 to local schools and public libraries, according to an email leaked by a whistleblower.

The company partnered with The GenderCool Project, an advocacy group for transgender youth, for a campaign "to help diversity classroom, community center, and library bookshelves with a collection of books to help bring clarity and understanding to the national conversation about Being Transgender, Inclusive, and Non-Binary," an employee email from Jan. 18, 2022, obtained by Consumers' Research states.

"The project's goal is to to increase representation of LGBTQ+ books and support our communities in having challenging, important and empowering conversations with children Age 5+," State Farm corporate responsibility analyst Jose Soto wrote to employees.

State Farm had asked employees to deliver a package of three books, "A Kids Book About Being Transgender," "A Kids Book About Being Non-Binary," and "A Kids Book About Being Inclusive," to schools and libraries in their area, said Will Hild, executive director of Consumers' Research.

Screenshots from the books Hild posted to Twitter show a message from the GenderCool team encouraging readers to "shake off whatever confusion, skepticism, concern, or biases you may have" about transgender kids. The books introduce children to what it means to be transgender or non-binary.

“Gender is how you feel in your heart and mind, but it may not match what the doctor says when you are born,” the "Non-Binary" book states.

Soto's Jan. 18 email asked for six State Farm insurance agents in Florida to volunteer to donate the books to their community by the end of April. "Along with donating the books, we would encourage the agent to highlight our commitment to diversity on their social media pages," he wrote. "This is a fantastic way to give back and an easy project that will help support the LGBTQ+ community and to make the world around us better."

The email mentioned that this project is part of a nationwide campaign with nearly 550 State Farm agents and employees participating.

In a statement to the Washington Examiner, State Farm defended the voluntary program, reiterating the company's commitment to "diversity and inclusion."

"We recognize and value the diversity of all people, and support a culture of respect and inclusion in the communities in which we live and work, as well as our workplace. The LGBTQ+ community is a valued part of the communities we serve and are valued members of our workplace," State Farm said.

"Kindness and respect is expected in all our interactions and extended to everyone we do business with across all segments of society. We embrace diversity and inclusion because it’s the right thing to do. We work with a variety of organizations and causes that express their own unique views, and support civil and open dialogue on challenging topics," the statement continued.

Consumers' Research, a nonprofit conservative consumer protection group, has launched a multimillion-dollar public awareness campaign about State Farm's partnership with the GenderCool Project.

"This gross and blatant attempt to indoctrinate our children by @StateFarm is shameless and consumers should be aware a company founded on family values is now encouraging five-year-old children to question their gender," Hild tweeted.

The campaign, titled, "Like a Creepy Neighbor," warns that "State Farm is targeting your 5-year-old," in a video accusing the books of "textbook indoctrination."

Last year, Consumers' Research launched a "name and shame" campaign against companies the group accused of distracting from their corporate failures "by playing woke politics." The group purchased ads targeting American Airlines, Coca-Cola, and Nike "for putting woke politics over consumer interests." --73.215.xxx.xx

Sickening.

I'm cancelling all policies with them.

Some time ago I started making a list of companies I don't agree with what they are doing. That list is getting very long.

Now I read an article that says summer camps, libraries and public pools are buying into and supporting this perversion. I'm past sick of it. How long will it be before decent people do something about this? --24.180.xx.xx

"Kindness and respect is expected in all our interactions and extended to everyone we do business with across all segments of society." YES

But, being respectful to others is a far cry from espousing and promoting the ideology of one particular group.

I can only imagine the response if a group of heterosexual, pro-marriage before sex (for an example) proponents came to ask for help spreading their message.

I doubt it would be so kind, encouraging, and respectful.

Unfortunately, everywhere you turn, you see more and more groups and businesses doing just the same as State Farm.

The best chance our children have (the generation) is to have parents - or someone- who knows better and will talk to them and explain the truth.

So, who wants to volunteer for a youth program?! Then hope they allow you to speak the truth!

Make sure you have real conversations with your kids! --68.229.xxx.xxx

State Farm denies asking agents to donate LGBTQ books to schools, says it ended partnership with advocacy group

Carlos Garcia 2-3 minutes

State Farm denied reports that it asked agents to donate pro-LGBTQ books to schools and said it had ended a partnership with an advocacy group involved in the program.

The nationwide insurance company released statements to the Daily Caller after facing online backlash over emails sent in January that appeared to call on agents to donate controversial books to local schools and public libraries.

“State Farm is partnering with The GenderCool Project to help diversify classroom, community center and library bookshelves with a collection of books to help bring clarity and understanding to the national conversation about Being Transgender, Inclusive and Non-Binary,” read the email.

“The project’s goal is to increase representation of LGBTQ+ books and support our communities in having challenging, important and empowering conversations with children Age 5+," it continued.

Some on social media responded by calling for a boycott against State Farm.

On Monday, the company denied the claims in one statement and then issued a second statement saying it had ended its partnership with the advocacy group.

“Our participation in this program evolved quickly, and the decision was made several months ago for participants not to share resources with schools,” said a State Farms spokesperson who added that the program was strictly voluntary.

The Daily Caller documented an incident that appeared to contradict the statement from the company.

State Farm offered further clarification in a second statement.

“Conversations about gender and identity should happen at home with parents. We don’t support required curriculum in schools on this topic. We support organizations providing resources for parents to have these conversations," read the statement in part.

“We no longer support the program allowing for distribution of books in schools," they concluded. "We will continue to explore how we can support organizations that provide tools and resources that align with our commitment to diversity and inclusion."

Similar concerns are all over local FB pages. As a former Kindergarten and Prekindergarten teacher, and also a former child, I always say that at those ages children know which gender they are known as. Occasionally they may say things like "I am going to be a cowboy". Thats a very 1950s occupational choice. That a girl says that means nothing except that's what a person who rides horses in special hats, is called. Certain groups are seizing on innocent comments like this to push an agenda. Gender is measured on a continuum from very masculine to very feminine and androgenous in the middle of the scale. It has zero to do with biological sexual characteristics. A biological female can measure as masculine and still grow up as a woman and have children. Men the same. The real transgender people have been transformed somehow from either excess hormones in the womb or a spiritual condition in which a soul has reincarnated very quickly into a body that is opposite of what they were previously. And worse than that is the spirit of a person who steps in and occupies the body of a child of the opposite sex. It's all happening folks, but it's not to be decided in little children who can go through many changes until puberty and those are opinion and feelings changes. There are children born with mixed biology and even doctors have trouble deciding. But no one should be pushing this changing. It's for parents, doctors and psychologists to handle, not political groups. --108.24.xx.xx

I knew better then to have children. Thank goodness.

No children, one less problem to worry about. Now, if I hadn't been born, there would be even less problems to worry about. And, some pour souls would not have had to put up with me. --73.120.xx.xxx

Tony: Yes, I know the update was not available when you came across the initial story. I still don't see why you didn't just reply to this post like you are doing now to post the update. Why start a new thread that is basically being ignored instead of adding the new information to this one where people are still going on about it without the new information?

Just seems like you'd reply to this when you had more information to share. But, whatever. I'd also assume you should have marked it as "OT", but you didn't do that for either of them either. :)

6x6, hilarious comment! I'm sure you have many people who are happy to "put up" with you.

Nobody seems to want to call out SIN for what it is anymore. Maybe we've all turned into spineless weasels. And now they want to corrupt our children.

Of course we need to have high regard for everyone who is made in the image of God, whether or not they suffer from gender dysphoria or engage in sinful lifestyles. (And there are some cases of genetic anomalies, though they are few.)

But to encourage gender confusion and outright sin is contemptible. --71.246.xxx.xxx
