I picked up a copy of Every Landlord's Guide to Managing Property by attorney Michael Boyer. it is a Nolo publication.
The good - it's easy to read, practical, gives examples, well organized, to the point, and covers a wide range of topics.
the bad - if you are a landlord and have been for longer than a year then most of the book discusses things you are already aware of. I would say no new ground is covered.
You would think that since he is an attorney you'd get a few legal pointers but he doesn't really say much in a legal sense.
the sample rental application, move out letter, and the other forms are fairly generic.
He gives some pointers on conflict resolution, responding to unauthorized guests, lease breakers, and other landlord situations.
My review is: if you are just starting out it would be a good book to have otherwise you can pass on it.
