I'm finishing up in the unit where I wanted to have the tub reglazed and the tub guy said it was too far gone. Well I found rustoleum 9100 2 part epoxy paint at the habitat store for 40 bucks a can and they go for 160 ea. I took the chance and am pleased w the results. The tub had a foot stopper and I decided to put back a regular old drain cover and provide a rubber floppy cover if someone wants a bath. I didn't have one, so I went to Ace where one was $4.50. I thought that was a couple bucks more than they should be so I went to Lowes. Guess how much it was at Lowes? Eleven dollars! Same at HD. For that price I'd get the tub shroom, but I decided that tenants will pop that up instead of cleaning it to let the water flow. I'm headed back to Ace --24.194.xxx.xx |

Shrooms are really good for a person who owns, I glue screens in with 3 spots of caulking. --76.190.xxx.xxx |

Awesome! Love ReStore. Especially that the tub and the can of donated epoxy paint don't end up in a landfill somewhere. Keep as much as we can in service as long as we can, I say.
For my rentals, Any bathroom drains that need replacing are getting a grid drain and a rubber floppy cover ( perfect name for that, hee, hee) . --70.92.xxx.xxx |

I just started pulling the vanity plugs and replacing with a drop in grid. I applied a bit of silicone to keep it in place until I really need to remove it.
I should have done the same with the tubs, just didn't think about it at the time.
Baby steps I guess.
Got the idea from here. I love to keep picking things like this up! --107.147.xx.xxx |

Love the caulk in place technique for the drain screen! Why didn't I think of that? --74.102.xx.xx |
