Robert,

I know that irrigation is not the real plumbing you usually get involved with but since you frequently manage to surprise me, I'll give it a shot.

To begin with, I am not talking about drip irrigation.

Is it possible to connect something like a "T" to a regular sprinkler riser with one side being a regular sprinkler head and the other side being a pressure reducing device which sends water to a large ceramic pot containing flowers.

In other words, can I water plants in a pot or similar container using the regular sprinkler system for the same amount of time as the yard sprinklers but at a reduced pressure resulting in the proper lesser amount of water for the potted flowers???

Yes you can. But, your current sprinkler station control valve is set at a curtain flow rate. Once you add a connection and remove some of the water for your planter, you may have to back out the "X" head on the regulator to allow for more flow, otherwise all of the heads on that station may get reduced output down 10% to 40% and will not extend out from the head to cover the same area. This is a simple adjustment, so long as that station is not maxed out. --47.155.xx.xxx

Is there a flexible tubing than can be reliably connected from the pressure reducer to the potted plants and not blow off assuming I reduce the pressure enough on the flexible tubing. If so, what is it called and what is the manner of connection?? In other words, can the usual type of glue be used on flexible tubing??
