I need a new scanner.
That part of my copier/printer/scanner has died.
I need it quite a bit, since I'm trying to keep more digital records, and scanning receipts & such.
Also for scanning & sending things for personal family stuff.
My previous machine had the ability to shrink or enlarge, as well as make 2-sided copies. Kinda miss those features, but they aren't Imperative.
Don't need fax any more, but I do want a combo machine that can print, copy, & scan. Nothing fancy or expensive - it's just me not a network.
It does need to work on wifi.
I am starting the process of online reviews & such, but nothing beats personal experience, so......
Any recommendations or warnings?
Thanks, y'all! : )

I've had good luck with Canon. Machine worked for 20 years before giving up the ghost.
I have an HP now, which is only OK.
Spend a little more and get the Canon ADF. --157.131.xxx.xxx |

I often wonder if a commercial model wouldn't be better and cheaper in the end. The ones that you can buy cheaper seam to eat the ink, even if you use gray scale printing, the eat the colored ink.
I have a cannon mx452 and it loves ink. Otherwise it works for years. --73.120.xx.xxx |

If you can find the Fujitsu it is a good product, otherwise I use a brother 2 sided black only laser machine - cost about 135 and the heating unit is replaced with the refill after you print 2 reams plus of paper. --76.190.xxx.xxx |

I have a great quick scanner that you can feed in 50 sheets of paper and it will auto feed and copy/scan them into a file or on the attached computer.
The I have a second scanner/copier/printer that uses an ink tank for cheaper cost to run. --47.155.xx.xxx |

I really like my color LaserJet all in one from HP. I have the duplex feature so can print on both sides. I was spending a fortune in ink with the inkjet, now I can get thousands of copies out of one cartridge.

its no so much the printer-- it's the cartridges and their cost.
I purchased the HP9020 model with the ink auto resupply for one year. The resupply was great- HP monitored my number of pages and ink left in machine and would send cartridge as needed. My bro in law suggested it. Worked out so well I renewed the auto ink. --99.103.xxx.xxx |

NOT a flatbed scanner though so scanning a passport, for instance, was interesting but I got it done.
I think this, combined with scanning apps on your phone for the more difficult pieces, are a great combo. --50.82.xxx.xxx |

I'm with Bonanza for a straight scanner. I have the older Fujitsu ix500 - now 8 years old. Scans 45 pages a minute - front and back. Top feed - not flat or book. It never quit or needed to go in the shop. Had to do a simple manual roller cleaning twice since 2014. Cost about 450.00 then. Can do small stacks of photo prints too. --73.215.xxx.xx |

I am on my second Brother All-In-One printer/copier/ scanner/ fax. I don't have the model number of the first machine, but the current one is an MFC-7340. The first one replaced an HP LaserJet. The first Brother lasted me from 1996 through 2009. My current Brother is presently 13 years old.
If/when I need to replace it, I will go with the then-current version of the Brother MFC.
