I have some units with 1990's bath counters that I guess are acylic? Fake stone looks like. Everything is one piece - sink and counter - sits on a small vanity. There are scratches and they are dull.
Any suggestions for polishing them up?

We've been pulling them out. Might try the polish for tubs in the pink bottle. --172.56.xx.xxx |

red auto rubbing compound
then white auto polishing compound
then good quality auto paste wax
deep scratches and gouges should be sanded out first with 200 grit wet dry paper then 400 then 600
it will look like a million bucks,...but takes time --172.250.x.xx |

Check out a product called DAITCH Spreadstone (Home Depot has it).
You can basically paint a stone finish onto the countertops.

Moshe,
What type of experience have you had with Daitch products?
My first two jobs turned out awesome with this, but my third one the paint gelled up. The third time I had it direct shipped to my house and it did sit outside in January for about two or three hours.

Ray,
I don't have ANY experience with DAITCH products, or this one.
Spreadstone was recommended by one of my previous managers, before I fired him for an unrelated reason. I understand that there are other such products on the market, including one by Rustoleum. There are also epoxy products.

I've heard good things about the auto polish method. Disclaimer-Haven't tried it. Youtube probably has a video.
MYOB, that buying, assembling, removing, installing, disposing was quicker made me laugh. Blue cabinet door, anyone? --70.92.xxx.xxx |

Wish I had read about the auto polish earlier in the week.
I just got rid of three vanity tops because I didn't think I could make them pretty.
Day late and an adjusted $1.50 short. --107.147.xx.xxx |
