We have our weekly business class again tomorrow for our co-op group. Each week, I print out a cover page for the weeks discussion and I include on it quotes about business that I have heard through the years for the kids to read. If any of you have any quotes that you’ve heard from instructors or in books that you have read that you would care to share, I would appreciate it. Something that hopefully a high school aged kid would understand. If you know who it’s from, even better. Thanks.

To be successful in a business, you must dedicate yourself to it. Don't spread yourself too thin by trying to do many things.

Pick several things you are interested in, then pick the one thing out of that list that you want most. Do that.

Pick a second thing and make that a side hobby/business that also makes money.

Pick a third thing and make that a hobby just for enjoyment.

Take all the other things on the list and don't concern yourself with them again.

In life, we only have time to get really good at maybe 2 or 3 things, so pick carefully. Don't waste time on things that don't interest you.
