According to this month's Pro Remodeler magazine Sherwin-Williams' Evergreen Fog SW9130 is the new "in" color for 2022, Benjamin Moore's new "in" color for 2022 is October Mist 1495. Both of these colors are in the muted green family.
For a splash of color Pantone's 17-3938 Very Peri was selected as their color of the year for 2022. It's in the blue family.
Personally, both of the greens appeal to me & I think that they could go with just about any decor, but the Very Peri doesn't do anything for me.

What’s still the most popular of all time? Respose is my go-to. The evergreen fog isn’t TOO bad but I don’t know if it’s worth the switch from repose, because it’s not that different. --24.152.xxx.xx |

As long as the colors are light, they can be pretty neutral. I'm sticking with Linen White for my apartments as my go to color as it blends well with the hardwood floors and natural woodwork. --96.237.xx.xxx |

I will snap a pic of this for the file. Thanks!
Trust the lady's eye fellas. They usually have better taste than us. Thank goodness. --96.31.xxx.xxx |

A couple of years ago Sherwin Williams announced the "new" paint color was some kind of navy blue.
It appears to have caught on like a lead balloon (except in lower kitchen cabinets and bath vanities).
I think the folks at Sherwin Williams who decide these things must get together, drink quite a bit and then throw darts at a poster with lots of colors and what sticks becomes the "new"paint color.

I recently researched SW Evergreen Fog and have seen some photos of it used on an actual house exterior. Personally I like it as an exterior color. It is a too dark of a color for interior use other than as an accent wall. The LRV is too low.
The LRV of Repose Gray is 58 which is in the perfect LRV range for interior colors. Stick to an LRV range of 57-62 for interiors. --24.96.xx.xxx |

LRV is a color’s light reflectance value. It’s easy to find them for all the major paint brands.
Do a google search for what is a good LRV for interior paint. Kylie M Interiors (google her) has a lot of good info on it as well. --24.96.xx.xxx |

Evergreen sage looks more like grey to me. I don't see changing my standard grey to get just a tinge of green. I'll wait until there is a more defined move away from grey's. I'm guessing that will happen in the next couple of years, grey has lasted longer than I thought it would. --209.16.xx.xxx |

As with other trends the 2022 colors will hit Indiana in 5-10 years.
We DO have some rooms where the res painted pale green. Wifey painted her office Honeydew (pale green) 10 years ago.

We do not du different paint in different properties. We have always used SW Dover White egg shell in all our properties. And SW Bright White (no tint) semi gloss in baths and kitchens. Its universal and residents love that it blends with any décor. And we can have it on hand for any courtesy repairs or touchups we offer a couple weeks after move in when all furniture has likely been moved around for the last time. --76.189.xxx.xxx |

I use Sherwin Williams 7506 Loggia on all walls. Or as I fondly refer to it, 'dirty beig-greysh.' I stick with colors that look like dirt - for obvious reasons. This hides lots of marks and blends with both warm or cool decor. Residents love it! Grey was in back in the 80's. Then it was out. Now it's back. It will be out again. Dirt is timeless! --24.111.xxx.xx |

Repose Gray is still my standard. In darker units I prefer the lightest shade of RG-Eider White. For statements and fireplaces and doors I just love SW Black Fox. It is so luxurious and high end. Not black or brown. It is a chameleon pewter color. So incredible and goes so well with the other colors from the same color strip. --108.196.x.xxx |

Repose Gray is still getting a WOW! from prospects.
We were Camel Tan for years. Now, when I walk thru those homes they look out of date and we're bringing them "UP" to gray.
A new painter accidentally got Battleship gray - much darker - but some folks loved it!
Accent walls are coming back.
BRAD
