I see on Yahoo news that another round of "stimulant " checks are comming .
Grea,..t no workers to hire around here now,..another reason to stay home and not work,...
We are also getting not only HELP WANTED signs all over, but now
"We cannont give you coins as change due to the change shortage."

Simulus checks...yeah, on top of the "child tax credit" we're already getting. My family are millionaire real estate investors, and yet the Govt feels they need to send poor little old me a check each month... sheesh.
If I didn't know any better, I'd swear this was how they back-door in a UBI. Get people hooked on checks.... after all, "it's for the children!"
Then they'll expand it to everyone without kids...because...fairness and other prattle.
Here's a funny thing right now: folks on fixed income like SSI aren't getting squat each month. Families with kids are easily out-competing them for rentals because they've got potential $1000 extra coming in each month with that child tax credit. So the lesson is: work hard, save, retire with a little dignity...and SCREW YOU!
Remember this when you vote in about 3 years...assuming we aren't paying $100 a gallon for gas and you can afford to drive to the polls.

Yet my lazy as all get out tenant, (who is having a church group come to move and pack all her stuff) this Sat. even paying for the moving van and taking up a collection to have her beat up piece of craap car towed and repaired, WON"t work!
I quess it is just beyond her dignity. She was supposed to move out on Friday but it was just to much for her to push the buttons on her phone,,, so the case worker had to do all the arrangements for her.
I will be thankful come Sat. night. This case has went on since June 1st. Finally getting results. Wish me luck as I am hoping cause it is a church group it won't be trashed. --67.22.x.xx |

Actual question: The stimulus checks were for joint filers making 150k or less. I qualified and I have a great income for my Midwest city. It wasn’t anywhere near enough money to “not work”. I just put it in savings for the down payment on the house I closed on in July. Why do people think these stimulus checks are keeping people from working? Hasn't the government issued more than one stimulant check?
(Don't know,.just asking) and those child tax credits,.I guess they are supposed to be paid back but people tend not to thinkin realities,..
Are PPP checks counted? I haven't really looked into these government money,..so I don't know..
I do wonder how people are getting along NOT working and getting any income at all,..I understand unemployment money has also stopped.
Many used to claim they were living from paycheck to paycheck.
now complaining about being underpaid but now not getting ANY pay and not making themselves available for most work.
Used to staying at home getting government money and can face working again?

Do any of you know how low margin jobs work? $21.00 for supervisors maybe, not the typical line worker. And that comes to $43K per year for full time which I'm sure almost no one is full time except the asst. manager and manager.
