If a house is using a natural gas stove, dryer and demand water heater then cost of electricity is lot less as most jurisdictions electricity costs are expensive. The largest part of a utility bill is using electricity for heating anything. If want reduce electrical consumption dramatically then convert stove, dryer and water heater to demand water heater where only using air conditioning will be expensive in the summer.
