I have a rental in a college area where a group of 4 will be signing a lease. My lease states the rent due for the group, however two students will be paying the entire rent at the beginning of the lease out of their 529. I'm looking for wording for an addendum for the two students

If the roommates are all jointly and severally liable, the only way I could see documenting it would be with a rent ledger:
Total due for the entire term: $xx,xxx
Total received as of xx/xx/2021: $xx,xxx
Balance owed for remainder of term: $xx,xxx

Just make sure that your lease provides for joint and severally liability. Then, as Jason points out, the entire rent is due, you don't care who pays it so long as it gets paid. You don't need any addendum.
