Just an observation - There aren't any!

A sign of the times - very few rentals available.

To me, it emphasizes the importance of regularly checking comps, even when you have no vacancies.

Just to keep your finger on the pulse of the market.

I also (to help determine the rent)try to think like a renter, as in:

If I had a budget of $XXX / month, and was looking in a 10-15 miles area, what would I have to choose between?

Then I try to make mine a better value, price vs amenities. --68.229.xxx.xxx

It's part of my routine to quickly check the rental offerings. By checking often, its easy to see who is getting the asking price and who isn't, judged by how long the listing is up.

I have a feel for what my rents should be on an ongoing basis.

There is almost nothing available here and rents are way up and renting fast at the high price.

I'm not going to be surprised of rents drop back down considerably when some of these work-from-home people have to go back into the office. --76.178.xxx.xxx

I just pulled a rentometer report. Normally I get about eight or so comps in this countrified location. Yesterday I had only two places on the report --24.101.xxx.xxx

I am not seeing any new rental listings here. Maybe one a month. The most recent singlewide (12") only 2 bedrooms/1 bath, was advertised for $800.00! It was gone after only one day. I could have bought this unit for 30k, it is across from one of our houses. But DH insists he doesn't want anymore and I agree. This has been a rough year as far as turnovers & expenses have been concerned.

It occupies way more of our time than we have left at 72 & 76.

There is another on FB marketplace available in November for 800., guess the guy is being more picky. I have never seen anything like it in my lifetime. --47.133.xxx.xxx

I check Craigslist every day. I read Mr Landlord and then I open up Craigslist.

The most properties for rent I've seen is 38 and lately it is below 20 with lots of repeated ads and housing wanted ads mis-classified, so not many rentals to check the prices on.

Facebook will have the same properties listed, so I don't check there. --76.178.xxx.xxx
