A good friend of mine who is a very good mechanic with his own shop told me that he's had a couple of his customers have the "joke" played on them from being on tick-tock.

This is where they loosen your lug nuts so that they fall off after driving for a while. It said it happened to him also a few days ago but he could tell by the vibration that something was very wrong and didn't lose his wheel. He knew a hundred percent that it was put on correctly , and he had driven the car quite a bit before this.

Apparently some people don't key into the vibration of the wheel not tracking correctly etc. and the wheel has come off causing accidents.

Real hassle to have check for this stupid and impractical joke but these are crazy times. The bad thing about the Internet is that it probably would not have been able to be distributed to so many stupid people before it. --66.30.xx.xxx

We checked into a campground a couple of weeks ago, and the owner requested that we report any suspicious activity in/near the bathrooms to them. They were hit the previous weekend with a different Tick-Tock vandalism "prank" - soap and towel dispensers were ripped off the walls. The owner was still shaken up by the incident. --98.114.xxx.xxx

Due to wobbling of the wheel, the bolts will break - even if the wheel doesn't come off.

My daughter had this experience this summer, after buying new tires & the "pros" didn't tighten them down.

A joke is when the person it's played on laughs with you.

I spent many years working my way through college as a waitress. For about 7 of those years I was a smoker. In the mid 70s people could buy little spikes to put into cigarettes that would pop and fizz and scare the smoker as a joke. They were easy to spot because there would be a hole in the cigarette. I got tired of them fast.

One night a younger male co-worker and I were closing. I was in back doing accounts and I lit a cigarette. It did not burn right, but had no holes. I put it out and pulled it apart. Just above the filter was a firecracker. I think he was lucky the joke did not work. --216.23.xxx.xx
