Sounds like the "We Buy Houses" people are using a different computer algorithm to find contact info and got it wrong.

those data bases are so $crewed up nothing surprises me.

My kids get solicitations on their cell phones for properties I own.

I get post cards that have photos of my property ... but photos don't anywhere come close to the actual property such as a cit residential property and the photo shows a rural lane through the woods. I get others from this outfit where the photo and the address match up.

This is a little off subject…

The other day I was waiting for a call on the home phone so I answered the phone when it rang and it was I thought at the time my daughter. She was crying and said she fractured her nose in a car accident and had me take down her attorneys phone number and case number. I was in a panic and wrote it all down. Then I immediately went to my cell phone to call my daughter to check.

The phone rang again and it was the attorney who asked my daughters name, and i insisted he tell me her name. I was not going to give out information and he said he couldn’t help then without my daughters name to verify. I told him unless he can tell me her name I have to assume this is a scam. He then said well okay goodbye.

I was later able to get in contact with my daughter who was fine. But it was such an emotionally upsetting day. After that I’ve resolved to never answer the phone, except known callers. I hope no one else has to go through such an ordeal with such awful people. Btw I did a reverse search on the phone number I wrote down and it wasn’t connected to anyone.

Sandy, I'm glad it was a scam and that your daughter was OK. You did exactly right in refusing to give any info at all to the stranger on the phone. These scammers can be so convincing!
