I have a flat roof and a gable roof I considering replacing on a multi-family. I was getting quotes from several roofing contractors and one came out with an excellent price. I asked him to provide me copies of his insurances. He gave me a copy of his policy but not the certificate of insurance (i.e. the Accord form sent by the insurance company). As I looked at the insurance policy today, I noticed it had a coverage period of two years with the end date obviously altered with whiteout and typing the year 2022 over the whiteout. Now I know why his price was so good. I won't be going with him for a couple reasons; the first being integrity and the second revolving around the fact this is a torch down roof. I'm not going to have anyone without insurance torching down anything on my building.

I may just wind up repairing where I can. --209.122.xx.xxx

I was surprised at the cost to get a roof done up on a two car garage.

If it were not for winter coming so soon, I would have held off. You are on the other end of the state so you might be able to do that - over in the snow belt though --24.101.xxx.xxx

Ray, northeast PA isn't exactly the tropics!! I too was looking to get this done before winter but have decided to repair and see if I can get a couple of years out of it --209.122.xx.xxx
