Last I heard the entire economy was estimated at only 20 trillion before this whole C-19 occurred.
I don't deny that there is a nasty flu bug out there, but throwing money at it will not cure it. How much have we printed up to help save us from the mess that we, the US government, created?
So a trillion dollar coin doesn't make much sense. But I can see a shift not that far into the future where the go to note you reach for in your wallet or purse will not be the $20 bill.

One trillion one dollar bills end to end would stretch 2 million miles,...past the sun ,...about 95 million miles. I wonder if we have enough paper to print a single Trillion bills. --66.30.xx.xxx |

The coin is silly. Why not a $1 Trillion note? Zimbabwe printed those. Or why not just auto-magically create 1 trillion digits in a bank account somewhere? That's mostly what they do today.
Here's the thing that Magic Money Tree theorists never fully flesh out: yes, theoretically a sovereign entity can print as much money as it wants and therefore never default. BUT, that doesn't change the laws of supply and demand that superseded any sovereign entity's monetary policy, whether it's Austrians, Keynesian, MMT, etc. That law is:
The more demand you having chasing the same amounts of goods and services, the higher the price of those goods and services. --108.230.xxx.xx |

Today, 29 $1T coins would pay off the entire national debt. In 5 years, a single $1T coin will be able to buy a latte at Starbucks.
If they could mint $1T coins, why have taxes? Mint the coins and abolish the IRS. --108.69.xxx.xxx |
