Like most here, when a couple breaks up and one moves out, I hate to let them off the Lease. I just had a tenant ask to have her ex off Lease so she can get food stamps. She has been alone for 6 months and on time, and has been there 3 years. Otherwise a good tenant. I am tempted to do it, but no good deed goes unpunished. Thoughts? --216.23.xxx.xx |

I dont remove anyone from a lease till everyone moves out.You cant just remove him unless he agrees in writing to coming off the lease. If he really isnt leaving and they are just trying to work the system dont get involved, you will loose in the end one way or another --72.231.xxx.xxx |

Same as Ken above, only when they have both left this unit will the release go into effect. --76.188.xxx.xxx |

You need his financial backing now more than ever. Keep him on the lease. --149.76.xxx.xxx |
