I have a ? My window was smashed in at 2am by someone going to break in I am on Sect 8 how long does my Complex have to replace it I have case number and pice report

As soon as you pay for it, it will get done. You have possession of the apartment and you are responsible for the windows. Go after the person who broke it. It wasn't your landlord who broke it so your landlord isn't responsible for paying for it. --76.178.xxx.xxx

Someone tried to break in. Does the building have poor lighting outside or some other condition that would invite a break in? Are they inadequate windows? Police know the difference between outside break ins and inside damage and they wrote a police report. Building owner insurance should pay. LL pays on this one. I hope she spoke to the right person in the rental office. --108.24.xx.xx
