So a name in the paper sounded familiar somehow. Checked out my preview questions spreadsheet and there he was. Turned down in 2019 for a variety of small crimes which showed a pattern of problems: larceny, concealed weapons, assault, etc. He's 32 now so would have been late 20's. Just wanted a chance. Nope. You sound stupid.
Today he's in the paper charged with 2nd degree murder and other charges. He was drunk, speeding, open liquor bottle. He struck an 11-year old - in a school zone...she died from her injuries. --50.82.xxx.xxx |

Give me a chance. I've changed. I haven't drank or done drugs for 6 months. I have a job now(for 3 weeks).
They try to catch our pity, but the ones who make it are rare. You are really in trouble when a preacher writes a "Please give them a chance" letter.

Since we are a small area, I tend to check on people charged with bigger crimes, to see if we've been contacted by them before. Had one a while ago that ended up being convicted of trafficking in heroin and fentanyl.
So "pre-screening" ends up being pre-screening for the next time they contact us, too! --50.82.xxx.xxx |

Always look at past behavior to predict future behavior. Very few people are capable of true change.
I am not willing to take the risk. --75.89.xxx.xxx |

The pool of unqualified people constantly looking is rather static mainly because their options are few. Anyone who truly wants to change gets it done and that's obvious. --209.122.xx.xxx |

"Just give me a chance" has always been an automatic rejection and it is a triple rejection now after the eviction moratoriums. --76.178.xxx.xxx |
