Not the most common thing left behind, but the most infuriating is leaving the pets. I had one tenant that had a menagerie and let them loose in the backyard, including snakes and kittens. (You can guess how that ended.) I just adopted a dog and got his back story at pick up. Yep, the owner moved away and left the dog behind.
