My tenant hasn’t paid since Jan and doesn’t answer phone , email , door, text, certified letters. She won’t apply for any rental assistance and the rental programs have reached out to her and she doesn’t answer. My county said as a landlord I can’t apply for assistance unless I have five or more units behind in rent and I can’t apply for the tenant. In addition, before this new CDC Moratorium extension came out today. The state allowed a 14 day pay or vacate notice for Aug- sept during what they called a bridge gap but there are stipulations such as rental assistant programs have to be in place. Not one county in our state has these rental programs officially set up where they can attest they have. It’s a huge scam to keep the tenants in the rental properties with the landlord footing the bill and the public burden on the landlord.
