Hi All. I need to find a really good real estate agent in my area. What is the best way to find. I need an agent locally, you has lots of experience selling multi families house. You go on the realtors web page and see a list of property they sold as the "Selling Agent" vs the "Listing Agent". And go from there.
On top agent here in L.A. sold $100,000,000 worth of multi-properties. Unfortunately, she would take any listing and only selling 50% within her 90 day listing period.
I go for smaller agents who's track record is closing close to 90% and have a real sense of the true market valves. --47.155.xx.xxx |

Ask the title/closing companies.
Dave Ramsey.com has a list of ELP (Endorsed Local Providers) for each area - I knwo the list includes residential but not sure if that will include multi unit specialists.
MY tip: Same as renting and hiring - I don't list with friends. Only people I can fire.

Hi Bet,
I was in the process of selling several 1 - 4 units here in SE Florida. Putting aside that I have access to MLS - I called 4 agents that appeared to understand 1 - 4 units / marketing / cap rates / etc. Asked them to send me a print out of all 1 - 4 units sold in last 365 days by address, ask price, sold price, DOM and Listing Agent. 3 out of the 4 did. Saved me a bunch of time confirming what I knew and who I would list with. Agent I selected has sold 8 multi's for me, all at 98 - 102% of appraised value, low drama with tenant showings.
