Had an epiphany on rank refrigerators when no power is on and food left in it this weekend. Will need a yard for this.
1. Duct tape the doors closed.
2. Carry said refrigerator outside several feet from building.
3. Spread a bag of charcoal briquets in side, apply charcoal fluid.
4. Throw in a lit piece of cardboard, paper.
5. Smell and any wildlife is destroyed in a few minutes.
6. If need to extinguish, just shut the doors. --75.104.xx.x |

I have moved such an offender to the back porch and used my power washer on it, open the doors and blast away then a little lysol to wipe down the inside. If it's not too bad then it can be salvaged.
If nothing else, our electric company is giving $50 to recycle old refrigerators. Just move it to the curb, call them, and they remove it contents and all. --209.16.xx.xxx |

After the pressure wash add the open charcoal bag but do not light it, unless you just want to recover the metal coils, baking soda boxes work well once the unit is running. --76.188.xxx.xxx |

Rick,
Tape shut.
Move to curb.
Place a FREE sign on it.
Done.

First energy also gives $50 for working frigs under its recycling program.
If you can get the contents chilled down, it may reduce the odors that do escape when moving the beast to street corner --24.101.xxx.xxx |
