We've missed 7 cruises this past year due to you know what.
Today we fly down to FLL and board Celebrity EDGE. More of a test cruise for us to be sure we haven't forgot how to pack?
We had been driving to Panama City and Myrtle Beach to fill the gap of missed cruises but that's not the same.
The cruises we had planned and then canceled by the cruise company's has given us quite a boost to our accounts with them. Each cruise canceled rewarded us with 125% of the original cruise cost. So sittin pretty rigth now. Sept AK, Nov Caribbean, Jan SJU, April HI May Bermuda and Aug Spain and then Scandinavia.
This is the pay back for working 16 hr days 1986 to 2001.
01 I cut back to 8 hr days!!!!!!!

I will never understand the idea of a cruise but enjoy yourself. You must have had another lifetime in which getting out on the water saved your life. They tell me I died in water so mother had to catch me to even wash my hair when I was a kid. --108.24.xx.xx |

Can't wait till we can go up to Camp near Wawa. We really miss going north to fish and spend time where it is more quiet than here. Sitting on a sandy beach with a nice fire eating a shore lunch, caught by us in crystal clear waters.
Enjoy your cruise. It is not what we would ever plan to do as we can't stand the cramped space and the amount of people with no where to go but on the ship.

@ P.B.(MI) - Where is Wawa? We people in SE Pennsylvania, NJ, and DE have a chain Wawa convenience stores that started in Wawa Twp., PA. Supposedly named after the Native American word for the sound that wild geese make. It was just funny to me to see that word linked with MI! I always think of coffee, gas, and hoagies (submarine sandwich/hero, Philadelphia area name) when I hear the word Wawa. --108.2.xx.xxx |

I keep looking longingly at the start up cruises, but time and money has not matched.
We were lucky, only had 2 cruises canceled. We saw the writing for one of them and canceled before final payment. The other one we got the 125% credit from.
Can’t wait until November! Going with both kids and their SOs for a week. I am watching to see if I can grab a holiday cruise at a decent price, then we will go as usual in mid-February back to the Caribbean. Two more booked for the 22-23 winter, and we are saving up to take the kids to Norway before the Fjords are closed to much of the cruise traffic.
