Yep, everything Oregon said and in addition, NO firepits (sorry smores lovers), NO open burning of any kind on the property except in a regular BBQ grill and then only food, not trash. Amazing what people will do in their yards. Fire danger in San Diego is at an all time high. Just had a woman die in a motorhome fire because she left a candle burning. Yep, all of the above. I did not have "no incense" in my previous leases until just recently. Newer tenant was burning incense and the whole stairwell started smelling like dirty tennis shoe (to me). This is an 8 unit building / 4 stories so I had the talk with the new tenant. The tenant is young (24) and he said he was not violating his lease. I told him that once the incense smell wafts out of the unit and into the common area hallway, now you are on my jurisdiction.
After the talk, the smell has subsided.
The "no incense" wording will be added to all future leases. It will go in the same section as no smoking, no candles and no vaping. No pets is a different section of the lease. --108.39.xxx.xx |
